April Board Meeting

MINUTES Lake Interlochen HOA Board

April 12, 2012 @ Sobel residence

Attending: Ralph Sobel, Larry Glover, Vernon Porter, Ken Seipel, Nancy Weaver.

Absent: Bryan Keathley, Ken Conlon, Brenda Cubbage, Roger Pendleton, Dot Wightman

Meeting called to order by president Sobel at 7:00 p.m.

Glover reported on March 28 meeting at the impound area with the manufacturer of a portable water pumping system. Porter is working with another company to get a bid for comparison.

Seipel advised that 120 pounds of tilapia were introduced to the lake system on April 2 and already there appears to be a reduction in visible algae. All the fountains are working but electrical outages have been causing frequent interruptions. Several homeowners are cooperating by trimming their trees that overhang the water. The lake water will be tested for safety before Memorial Day.

Ken also showed photos of "no dumping" signs that Grapevine uses at storm water drains. Sobel will contact the City of Arlington to see if we can get approval for something similar. Ralph also announced that a new Arlington police officer was in charge of crime for the Interlochen area: Sgt. Singh Boulum.

Weaver has started the project to update by-laws and asked for suggestions.

The meeting was adjourned at 8 PM.
